We had lunch and it was delicious, fast, and the server was very polite. We don’t eat a ton of food, so the plate size (on the smaller side) was great for us. We also tend to eat more often and smaller portions when traveling.

Absolute tourist trap. AVOID this place! The seafood “platter” for two had one small piece of Barramundi which was undercooked and horrible. The BBQ octopus was so chewy, I could barely eat it. Quality of food was rubbish and the quantity even worse for $120. My wife’s Aperol spritz was watery however, the small beer served was cold.

Great outdoor eating area if you enjoy 'people watching' plus good views of the wharf as well. Food was nice but quite pricey for the portion sizes. Cocktails were fantastic and staff were friendly too.

The food was lovely. I would've rated the whole experience a 5 except when it came to the bill we were charged $12 for a beer. The beer was on the list of happy hour drinks for $6. When asked why we were charged $12 they said because my husband ordered off a different menu. My husband didn't actually even order the beer off a menu to begin with. They twisted and said that there were two sizes, one for the happy hour menu and one for the normal menu. The happy hour menu, doesn't make mention of the size of the drink and anyone would think that it's actually the same drink. It wasn't a large glass, not even a schooner size. I don't know how small a happy hour glass could possibly be then. Just be careful here.

The food here is incredible. The flavours are perfect and the food so fresh! We had seafood for two and everything was cooked perfectly! Tried a few cocktails too and loved every one of them. The waiters/waitresses were all friendly and attentive. The view is stunning, the vibe is wonderful here. You won't be disappointed with this place, try it!

Very rare that I award 2 stars but special menu Grilled Lolligo Squid with watermelon, tomato & lime salsa was just a flavourless, rubberised white substance on a base mix that did not add any flavour or blend with the Squid. Prime location on the promenade & night time ambience outside is nice with flaming patio heaters that worked well. Wait staff needed to be called for extra drinks & the bill. We did tip well as overall service was good. Others liked their choices but I think - everything served should be the same quality.

A really shockingly bad experience at George’s Mediterranean Bar and Grill last night. I booked this place a month in advance for my 30th birthday, when we arrived on time our table wasn’t ready. I had requested indoor seating, to which I was told that was noted on the booking but by the time our table was set up we were sat outside with no explanation. The table ordered and here’s where the issues began, our “mains” were insanely small, over cooked and cold by the time by they reached our table. Everyone was shocked at the small serving size. Attached are the photos of two mains and one appetizer as there were no vegetarian mains. $28.50 for the souvlaki $40 approx for the fish $18 for the halloumi The chips that were ordered were stale and unseasoned. The real issue and reason for this review was I had organised a cake prior. When I spoke to staff before the event I was told it would cost $2.50 PP to cut the cake (which I already find absolutely extortionary in the first place) but I agreed because it was too late to find somewhere else. The cake was brought out and left on the table with a knife and plates, I was really confused but since no one came back to take the cake I was left to cut it myself. Once the bill came, I straight away noticed a $15 cake charge. I flagged the waiter serving us and he instantly got a terrible and aggressive attitude. I asked what the charge was for since no one cut the cake and he just acted like this was normal and just started repeating “Do you want to speak to the manager? Do you want to speak to the manager?” Another guest at the table repeated we weren’t sure what the charge for was because how could it be $2.50 PP if there was no cake cut, it was essentially a storage fee. He just hit back again with “well do you want to speak to the manager?” I said yes and to the managers credit he seemed pretty surprised and apologized as the cake was definitely meant to be cut and served. The charge was removed but we were left a little shaken and the mood was definitely made worse. Two guests from the table went to speak to the manager about a separate issue on the bill afterwards and the same waiter saw them wanting to talk to someone and completely ignored them. Terrible, terrible experience and not one to want to experience for a milestone birthday. Wouldn’t recommend and will not be returning.

i’ve seen some bad reviews and mixed opinions about this restaurant, but for me it was amazing! 6 of us came for dinner and 3 people on my table (including me) ordered the 4 piece lamb souvlaki, and it tasted extraordinary and was also very filling. a suggestion would be to add diced tomatoes for the extra flavour, but otherwise it was still a great dish. we had many entrees to share, and within a few minutes, there was nothing left on the table. food was served quick and staff were friendly. will be back.
